This last Sunday my girls went to nursery for the first time… And they LOVED it! I was originally just going to take them in there for the first half because they technically weren’t 18 months old until Monday, and we are usually roaming the halls during Sunday School anyways. I was interested to see how they would do being around that many other kids. Luckily there were only like 6 other kids in there that day. They seriously loved it though. They were so excited to see all those new toys and they jumped right in there and started playing! They didn’t really play together, which is nothing new, but they were entertained the entire time. Noelle didn’t even look my way once. Naomi came over a few times to show me the train she was playing with but didn’t get nervous or want me to hold her at all!
After they played with toys for a bit it was time to clean up and do their singing time. They love singing songs usually but as the other kids were getting into their spots on their little foam mats, one of them knocked Noelle over on accident and she was not happy about it. She sat on my lap during the singing time and calmed down. Naomi on the other hand, would not sit still (typical) and kept trying to pull all the other foam mats down off the table. Haha.
Then it was snack time! I was going to grab the girls and drop one of with Justin and take one with me to Relief Society but the Nursery leaders said to leave them because they were being so good! And let’s be honest, my girls will always want a snack! So I set them up to the table in front of their snacks and said goodbye! I totally expected a melt down from at least one of them, but nothing! Not a single tear! They did great! I was so happy about it! Also a little sad. How did my babies get to be so big already!
I went to Relief Society by myself and it was so strange not having a baby there with me to distract me! I could listen to the whole lesson! Although I have to say, I was still a little distracted because I was wondering how the girls were doing by themselves in nursery the whole time! Haha. I guess it’s going to take some getting used to!
Here’s a photo of them before church on Sunday! I love these little dresses on them!
Noelle was cheesin’ it up in this second one!
I just love these girls of mine! I’m so blessed!
