My parents came to visit this last weekend! We packed in as much as we could while they were here! It’s nice to live in an area that is close to so many things to go see and do! So just to warn you, this post is mostly just going to be filled with photos of things we did this weekend and very little commentary. 🙂
Friday afternoon we drove up to Philadelphia to see some of the sights there!
Our first stop was at Sonny’s to have a Philly Cheesesteak of coarse! (Did you know that the “real” Philly Cheesesteak is made with Cheese Whiz?! Eck!) I did NOT have a “real” Philly Cheesesteak. But the one I had was really good!
Next stop was the Liberty Bell and then Independence Hall.
And then a quick selfie with my beautiful mama!
Then we went over to the Art Museum with the famous steps that Rocky runs in the movie! And I climbed those stairs with a baby! And of coarse we had to have a photo by the Rocky statue! The girls were happy they got to get out of the stroller for a little bit. They didn’t care how cold it was.
That was all the sights in Philadelphia for us. We ended up driving in four different states just on this one day! We started in Maryland, went through Delaware to get to Pennsylvania and then google maps took us across a bridge from Philadelphia into New Jersey! So crazy!
Saturday we got up and headed down to D.C. It was such a beautiful day! We didn’t go into any museums but we hit most of the major sites that we wanted to see. There’s so much there, we’ll definitely be back often to check it out more!
We walked about 10 miles all together that day! Our feet felt it too!
Sunday we took it easy but still wanted to show off our little town and the bay here to my parents so after church and naps we went down to the promenade along the water and took a walk and let the girls get out and run around. It really is a beautiful place to live! We love that we are so close to the water.
I’m so so happy that my parents were able to come out this weekend! We definitely exhausted our selves but it was so much fun to experience all of this with them. They mean the world to me and to my girls! Naomi and Noelle were in heaven the whole time they were here!
Thanks mom and dad! We love you and miss you already!
