Hi! I’m Brittany, or better known around here as Britt! 😉
I’ve been married to my handsome husband, Justin, for six years now. He keeps me level-headed but also encourages and supports my big crazy dreams. He teaches me not to take life too seriously and he’s always making me laugh. He truly is my best friend. (Insert cheesy “Awww”) 🙂
Through IVF we have been blessed with the cutest twin girls anyone could ask for, Naomi and Noelle. They light up our home with their sweet smiles and silly laughs. Every day they are doing something new or speaking 10 more words than they were the day before! They keep me busier than I ever imagined but I wouldn’t change it for anything! They are my world.
I am a happy-go-lucky kinda person and I always try to find the positive in everything. I love meeting new people and making new friends but I can be a little shy in the beginning. I’m a Colorado girl currently living in Maryland. I love to be adventurous and travel near and far but I also love to hang at home with my family. I’m a portrait photographer and have my own business – B. Ashton Photography. You can check out my work here and here. I’ve been known to be a little sassy at times. (Who isn’t though, right?!) I love to try new things. I have project ADD and I always have several projects going on at once and about 10 more in my head.
Shortly after we were married I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism. And so began our journey with infertility treatments and improving my health and our family’s health. There have been many ups and downs and I have had to dig deep at times to find the positive. But I found that it’s always there! I have learned a lot over the passed 6 years; about myself, about God’s love for me, about life, about the human body.
I turned 30 last year and throughout the year I reflected a lot on who I was and my life up to this point. I decided that I was going to make my thirties the best years of my life! I knew I could be more, for me, for my family and friends and for my Heavenly Father. I have big dreams and aspirations and I know that there is no reason I can’t accomplish them!
That is what this blog is for! It’s a place for me to share my story and my journey ahead as I strive to better my life and become the person I want to be! I’ll be trying new things to better my health (specifically PCOS symptoms), experimenting with DIY beauty treatments, new recipes, and more! Basically a place to be me!
I hope you’ll stick around and even share some of your ideas with me! And I hope that this is a place where you will be able to find hope, peace, encouragement and love.
Thanks for hangin’ out friend,
